Children's homes
Solo, dual and small-group homes for boys and girls with social, emotional and mental health needs, including young people with learning disabilities.
Nurturing Positive Outcomes

Family-owned and running Ofsted-registered children's homes since 2017, Oaktree has grown into a group of homes, services and education settings across the North West.
Many of the young people we support have experienced trauma, disrupted education or placement breakdowns. We focus on warm, homely environments, trusting relationships and close partnership with families, professionals and commissioners.
As needs change, young people can move between our services in a planned way, staying with an organisation that already knows them.
Children are settled and enjoy spending time with staff.
Staff speak about the child with genuine care and affection.
The compassion, professionalism and genuine care being shown by staff… has been noticed and is greatly appreciated.
Every placement is matched carefully to the young person and to anyone they would live with.
Solo, dual and small-group homes for boys and girls with social, emotional and mental health needs, including young people with learning disabilities.
Solo homes for young people with health needs, learning disabilities and mental health needs, supported through the move into adulthood.
Supported homes that help looked-after young people and care leavers build the skills for independent living.
Continued support in a home of their own as young people settle into adult life.
Warm, homely environments, trusting relationships and close partnership with families, professionals and commissioners.

Our care is built on understanding what a young person has been through, then working from a clear individual plan agreed with them and the professionals around them.
Our teams use PACE, the approach developed by Dr Dan Hughes, in everyday care, so young people meet the same warmth and the same boundaries whoever is on shift.
Lightness and warmth that help a young person feel safe enough to connect.
Wondering about what sits behind behaviour, rather than reacting to it.
Accepting feelings without judgement, while keeping clear boundaries on behaviour.
Showing young people that the adults around them understand, and stay.
Each young person's plan sets goals with them, and we review progress regularly with them and the professionals around them.
Feeling settled, staying safe and building a stable home life.
Physical and emotional health, self-care and resilience.
Getting back into learning and staying there.
Trusting adults, family time and positive friendships.
Cooking, money, travel and the everyday skills for adult life.

Small-group education for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, many of whom have had long gaps in learning. Working closely with our homes, the team gets young people back into education quickly, with plans built around their needs, interests and EHCP outcomes.
Our referrals team works with local authorities and social workers to find the right service for each child or young person, across residential care, transitional services, supported accommodation and education.
Email the referral and supporting documents to our team.
We assess needs, risks and compatibility with young people already in the home.
We come back promptly with an offer, or a clear reason if we cannot meet the need.
We agree a transition plan with the young person, their network and education.
Helpful to include: referral form or care plan, current risk assessment, placement history, EHCP and education status, health needs and preferred start date. Please send referral documents by secure email rather than through our contact form.

Send us a message and the right person will come back to you.

The young people we support have often been let down by adults who came and went. The most important thing you will give them is consistency. In return, we give you the pay, training and support to make a career of it.

You will know your managers by name, and they will know you.
Our homes support one to three young people, so you get to know each of them well and see the difference you make.
Our senior team includes former Registered Managers with Outstanding Ofsted outcomes. They know what a hard shift feels like.
A full induction, ongoing training, and support to gain the Care Certificate and Level 2 and 3 qualifications.
Across 24 homes and services there is always a next step, from support worker to senior, team leader, deputy and Registered Manager.
Regular supervision, debriefs after difficult incidents, and a manager on call when you need one.
Children's homes, young adult services, supported living and education, so your career can move as your interests do.
Pay depends on experience and qualifications.
